When a primary school teacher finds a newspaper clipping calling for headline worthy ideas, a group of creative and imaginative children make front page news when their stories come to life.
Guided by the class teacher, pupils engage with a vibrant character from an alternative world through videos and messages. The project's use of cutting-edge technology enables pupils to experience seemingly real time responses from the character who urgently needs their ideas and imaginations for an exciting mission.
Through an interactive website, video and text based communications, the class help a young journalist on her quest. The children's imaginations prove so powerful, they bring a creature to life; a creature so unique it’s sure to grab the headlines!
The project, designed to take place over one school day, offers teachers a creative classroom approach to oracy and literacy whilst providing children the agency to follow their own instinctive learning styles.
